While it may seem like just yesterday that we were watching Cynthia Nixon's character, Miranda Hobbes give birth on HBO's Sex and the City, it's time for the actress to send out birth announcements of her own! According to People.com, Nixon and her partner, Christine Marinoni, welcomed a son on February 7.
"Christine and baby are doing great," Nixon's rep told the news source. The name that will adorn the birth announcements? Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni.
Though this is the first child for the happy couple, who began their relationship in 2004 and announced their engagement in 2009, Nixon has been a mom for quite some time. The actress has two children, Samantha, 14, and Charles, 8, with former flame Danny Mozes, a teacher whom she dated for 15 years.
Nixon is not the only Sex and the City star to embrace motherhood. Sarah Jessica Parker, better known as shoe-loving Carrie Bradshaw, has an 8-year-old son, James Wilkie, and 1-year-old twin daughters, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, with actor Matthew Broderick.
